Yes Ethan, we are in DIYC. I notice 2 little drain holes near the bottom on the stern. They do let the hull breathe but also water in. I sealed them with rubber plugs. We went out again in 20 kts but kept her upright. Later in the basin we put her on her side and uprighted her with no crew on it. She was almost dry when straight. So my plan for the future is to remove my 220 lbs first before trying anything. Hope to join some of you in a regatta down here.

:: Are you sailing at DIYC in Tampa? Best plan is to keep
:: it upright! Make sure the tanks don't leak, and when you
:: right the boat it is best to only have one person on the
:: daggerboard so that you are not sinking the boat
:: further. We had a clinic in St. Pete on the 4th!

:: Cheers,

:: :: We are fairly new to this boat, sailed out in 20 kts
:: :: wind with 2+ ft waves today. At one point, the GPS was
:: :: logging tops 12kts when we were blown over on our side.

:: ::
:: :: Boat was filled like a tub and waves going over, bailing
:: :: water was pointless. I had to jump in hold to the stern
:: :: and tiller. My 13 year old was staying in holding the
:: :: Jib, slowly pulling us to shore.
:: ::
:: :: I was surprised about how filled the boat was,
:: :: practically unrecoverable in those conditions.

:: :: Comments?

:: :: Thanks.
