Measurement at the nationals. Hi, I bet you are all wondering what I will be looking at this year before the Nationals. As always, I will measure anything someone requests that I look at on your boat or a competitors. I will have board and rudder templates as well as a tape measure, so know that we are always looking for any changes that may fall outside the rule. Any boat that was not weighed in 2008 or later, and has been modified, or repainted, will get weighed. I have a list of corrected weights and can check the continued placement of the required added weight. I am willing to reweigh anyone who thinks their lead can be removed legally. All sails must have a signed measurement and there will be sail measurement times posted. Any Windmill club officer can assist you if I’m not readily available. In addition I will be doing a measurement of your mast band per the new system for information only on each boat. Also I would like to list what board you are using (long/short), what rudder shape, and the total crew weight for your boat (one number for skipper & crew combined- no weigh in required) for a story after the race. Let's have fun out there & make this the best Nationals ever! The Chief Measurer will be available for measurements. Sails at the pavilion Wed 4-5 PM Thursday 7-8 AM 4-5PM. Boat weight and other measurements Thursday 8-10 am and 3-4PM Friday measurement by appointment 7-8:30 AM As always I will do what I can when I can as needed but I promise to be there at the times listed above.
